Last Reference Points

What are they? and most importantly why are they important when designing & creating shoes?

Here’s my understanding:
1. Feather edge: Bottom edge of last. Where my material will fold under when creating shoe.

2. Center front & back marks

3. Ball = Widest part of last marks

4. Top edge of last

5. Fit Line = widest part of last

6. Center back

7. Counter point

8. Center front

9. Pivot points

10. Connect pivot point & counter point
