What is a closed cell foam?
Closed cell foam is defined as a cell totally enclosed by its walls and hence not interconnecting with other cells. Closed-cell foams have a structure that is made of millions of tiny bubbles, sealed off from each other providing resistance to water, in addition to a strength and rigidity not present in open-cell foams.
